Cement & Limestone Remover

Chemitek Cement Removal Agent (CRA) chemically dissolves cured cement dust, stone dust, gypsum and other alkaline deposits that water and brushing can't shift, and it is designed to be gentle on the glass coating, silicone and aluminium frame.

Remove What Water Can't

Near cement works, quarries and building sites, alkaline dust settles on the glass, absorbs moisture and cures into a hard film. Water and brushing don't remove it, and abrasive methods damage the anti-reflective coating.

CRA reacts with the contaminant, not the glass, and turns it into particles that rinse off. It is a remediation product: once the glass is clean, Chemitek recommends protecting it straight away with Antistatic Solar Armor so the film doesn't return.

Key Benefits

  • Removes cured cement dust, stone dust, gypsum and hard-water stains
  • Reacts with the contaminant only; designed to be gentle on the AR coating, silicone and aluminium frame
  • 8 module-maker letters of conformity, including LONGi, JA Solar, Jinko and Trina
  • Biodegradable (Chemitek)

How to Use (Chemitek Datasheet)

  • Test first: try a small area to find the right dilution
  • Dilute: start at 1 kg of CRA in 2 L of water; if needed, strengthen to 1:1 or 1:0.5 (neat only as a last resort)
  • Apply to dry modules: wet glass greatly reduces the effect
  • React and brush: let it react for a few seconds without drying, then brush it in without adding water
  • Rinse: rinse thoroughly with clean water and a brush; repeat if needed
  • Protect: apply Antistatic Solar Armor straight afterwards

Results

  • South Africa, RenewChem pilot (±15.6 MWp plant beside a cement works, North West, June 2026): a string cleaned once with CRA read 10.4 A against 9.7 A on comparable uncleaned strings (+7.2%)
  • Chile, Chemitek case study (48 kWp carport beside a precast-concrete factory): after CRA and ASA, the daily generation gap to untreated modules grew from 4.6% to about 11.9% (29 Sep to 14 Nov 2022)
  • Dubai, Chemitek case study: CRA cut a treated inverter's deficit to a clean reference inverter from 6.6% to 2.1% in 35 days
