Much of South Africa's borehole and municipal water is hard. Wash panels with it and calcium and magnesium dry onto the glass as spots and haze, so each clean can leave the panel a little worse. In a Chemitek case study in Malaysia, a string washed with untreated high-TDS well water produced 4.9% less than average.

WSA captures the calcium and magnesium ions in the water itself, so nothing is left to deposit when the rinse dries. For stains already on the glass, Chemitek Cement Removal Agent dissolves hard-water stains along with other alkaline deposits.

How to Use (Chemitek Datasheet)

• Measure: test the water hardness first with hardness test strips (a TDS meter won't read hardness correctly once WSA is added)
• Dose: choose the ratio for that hardness. Added directly to the tank: 1:500 at 250 ppm, 1:1,500 at 125 ppm, 1:5,000 at 25 ppm
• Wait: add WSA to the tank and wait about 20 minutes
• Check: measure again to confirm the water is soft
• Dosing pump: Chemitek gives separate ratios for real-time dosing (for example 1:640 at 200 ppm)
