Hold Reflectivity for Longer

A CSP plant's output depends on how much light its mirrors reflect. Dust cuts reflectivity quickly, especially in dry seasons, so mirror fields need frequent washing.

Mirtek adds an antistatic, anti-adherent layer in the same wash. In a trial at the SOLABEN CSP plant in Spain, run by Chemitek with Atlantica and Rio Glass, treated mirrors lost reflectivity 6 times more slowly after jetwash application (0.40% vs 2.44% per 10 days) and 13 times more slowly after brush application (0.16% vs 2.17% per 10 days).

• Dilute: 1 kg of Mirtek in 900 L of distilled or demineralised water
• Wash: clean the mirrors as you normally do, by jetwash or brush
• Timing: use the diluted solution within 12 hours
